ABOUT US

The Consep Hoist is an INNOVATIVE self-climbing materials hoist PRIMARILY USED TO cycle formwork and other building materials on medium TO high rise STRUCTURES.

The Consep Hoist operates independently to site cranes, providing vertical movement of all manner of materials in the construction zone.

The Consep engineering team is well versed in construction processes and the demands of high rise construction. Starting from this base, we work with you to engineer the Consep Hoist to meet your specific project requirements during the construction planning stage. The end result is shorter construction cycles and increased project safety; all fully backed by Consep’s experienced engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.

KEY ADVANTAGE #1:

Day Zero

Access

The Consep Hoist’s unique ability to service the live deck sets it apart from the others. Our self-climbing hoists do not tie into the uppermost level serviced, enabling access to the freshly formed deck and immediate transport of materials to the newly poured slab.

KEY ADVANTAGE #2:

Movable Crane

Landing Platform

The highly versatile Consep Hoist doubles as a movable crane landing platform to allow all types of construction materials to be landed on and lifted from multiple levels. With a landing capacity of 2,200kg (4,850lbs) and a static capacity of 3,000kg (6,614lbs) the Consep Hoist is a flexible alternative to stationary landing platforms.

KEY ADVANTAGE #3:

100%

Self-Climbing

The Consep Hoist’s self-climbing functionality is a feature that cannot be overlooked. Once commissioned, the Consep Hoist is fully independent of the site crane for the life of the project. This important feature allows the crane to be scheduled for other duties without regard to hoist climbing schedules.

KEY ADVANTAGE #4:

Tolerance To Adverse

Weather Conditions

The Consep Hoist is designed for continued safe operation in high winds that would prevent safe operation of site cranes. This feature allows transport of materials to continue in adverse weather conditions, eliminating down time and maximising efficiency.

KEY ADVANTAGE #5:

DISTRIBUTED

LOADS

The Consep Hoist’s unique load sharing mechanism (LSM) technology distributes vertical loads over multiple levels, greatly reducing the load exerted on individual concrete slabs. This innovative feature effectively eliminates troublesome and time-consuming reshoring requirements on most projects.

KEY ADVANTAGE #6:

Remote Monitoring

And Data Logging

The Consep Hoist’s onboard ‘smart’ control system combined with a cellular data connection provides remote monitoring capabilities and data logging for maximum reliability. The system automatically notifies Consep of maintenance requirements or any out of specification events and Consep’s trained service personnel can log in remotely to review operational history and the system status as required. Combined, these features allow proactive intervention for unsurpassed availability.

BARANGAROO SOUTH

Barangaroo, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia 12

Consep partnered with Lendlease in the construction of one of Sydney’s largest ever projects. Over a 12-month design period, the Consep Hoist was tailored to incorporate all of Lendlease’s project-specific requirements including: Live deck and day zero access, increased payload, variable Consep Hoist car width, and extended travel. In early 2014, four Consep Hoists were installed on the lower levels of Tower 2, the first of three towers with a planned final height of 43 storeys. Within a week of commissioning, construction had hit its stride and the benefits of the Consep Hoist quickly became evident.

The success of the first four Consep Hoists was followed later in the year by the installation of an additional four Consep Hoists for construction of the 39 storey Tower 3. In 2015 another four Consep Hoists were installed for construction of the 51 storey Tower 1. In total, twelve Consep Hoists contributed to the development of the Barangaroo South project, providing safe and efficient transport of not only formwork materials but also materials for other building services.

ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER

Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA

Collavino Construction was awarded the concreting contract for the construction of 1WTC, the largest of the five buildings to be built on the World Trade Centre site in Manhattan, New York. The building, also known as the Freedom Tower, would become the tallest building in the Western hemisphere and in the top 6 tallest buildings in the world. In planning the construction, Collavino Construction identified Consep’s existing hoist as a tool they could potentially utilize for materials transport to ensure safety on the site and reduce costs on this very high-profile project.

Consep tackled the challenge head on, developing the new Consep Hoist to meet the unique requirements of 1WTC, including operation on a 3.5-degree inclined building face, increased payload to 2,000kg (4,400lbs), extended hoist travel to service 7 levels, and other specific requirements of the North American market. 1WTC officially opened in November 2014 and now stands as testament to the versatility of the Consep Hoist in the construction of iconic structures.

MARINA SQUARE

Wentworth Point, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Consep provided three latest generation Model CH200 Consep Hoists for the Wentworth Point Marinas development and delivered end-to-end support and services for the project’s duration. The Consep Hoists were kept busy servicing the 3 towers involved and provided safe, efficient and reliable movement of materials with an impressive 100% availability.

Consep’s inhouse engineering team was involved in interfacing with perimeter screening and certification of all equipment and work whilst our dedicated on-site crew completed the installation, climbing, and decommissioning of the hoists. The result: a streamlined process for the client with the Consep Hoists servicing all the way to the roof level of Blocks C (28 floors), E1 (28 floors), and E3 (21 floors), whilst ensuring consistent cycling of materials throughout the project. DUO CENTRAL PARK

Chippendale, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Consep provided two of its latest generation Consep Hoists for the Duo Central Park project servicing both the Block 1 and Block 4N towers. This project had a unique engineering challenge as the client required the Consep Hoist on Block 4N be placed in a penetration within the building. Consep met and exceeded the client’s requirements, providing a single internal Consep Hoist with front and rear access to service two concrete pours, while maintaining live deck access and crane landing capabilities.

The Consep team ensured that penetrations could be formed and closed as soon as Consep Hoist climbs were completed, ensuring following trades could commence fit out. The Block 1 Consep Hoist was mounted more conventionally on the external slab edge and provided continuous availability for the duration of the project, even under adverse weather conditions.
